Refund Policy
Effective 4 May 2026
This policy explains when refunds are available, how to request one, and how long the process takes. It applies to all services purchased from Splice Computers (Pty) Ltd trading as Yielde.
1. When refunds are available
1.1 Delivered systems that break
If a delivered website or AI system stops working through no fault of the client, and we cannot repair it within 14 calendar days of the failure being reported in writing to support@yielde.dev, the client is entitled to a full refund of the affected service.
The 14-day repair window starts from the time the failure is reported, not from acknowledgement.
1.2 Cancellation during build
If a client cancels a website or system build after work has begun but before delivery, 50% of the upfront build fee is refundable. Once a build has been delivered and approved, the build fee is non-refundable.
1.3 Recurring services
Hosting and maintenance are billed monthly in advance. On cancellation, see our Cancellation Policy. Pro-rata refunds are not provided for partial months unless required by law.
1.4 API credits
Pre-purchased API credit top-ups are non-refundable once loaded to the client's account, except where the underlying system itself qualifies for a refund under section 1.1.
2. How to request a refund
Email support@yielde.dev with:
- The name on the account and the invoice or payment reference
- A description of the issue (for breakage claims) or the reason for cancellation
- The date the issue first occurred
3. Refund timeline
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Paystack within 7–14 business daysof approval. Bank settlement times may add additional days depending on the client's bank.
4. What is not refundable
- Approved and delivered builds (subject to section 1.1)
- API credits already consumed
- Third-party costs paid on the client's behalf (domains, paid integrations)
- Past months of hosting or maintenance already rendered
5. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits the client's rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other applicable law.
